I purchased the Tweetbot 5 for iOS. The after Tweetbot versions need subscription to use advanced features, otherwise it’s a reading-only mode in which you can’t tweet and follow. I still used the Tweetbot 5. But there have always been problems of playing videos, I couldn’t play the videos within the app and need to open the tweet in Safari to play them. This had been quite annoying and I decided to try the new Tweetbot. The problem doesn’t happen in the new version and I love the new design. Recently I have changed the my perspectives on electric devices. I decide to use Mac as much as I can. I read and write on Mac, while phones will be a device where I only read. I have also bought the Tweetbot for Mac. If I need to tweet something but my Mac isn’t nearby, I will record them in the Notes and tweet them when I come back to my Mac.
Recently, Lawrence Li made a post about how to organize and save photos and videos. He said he would export the photos and videos to hard drive disks everyday and delete them in the iCloud, which will the deletion of photos and videos in the iPhone simultaneously (see Backup vs. Sync). He said:
照片留在手机里就是方便随手分享,随手分享这种陈习也是时候停一停了。多设备同步于我是鸡肋而已。
I agree with it. It’s time to stop the habit of sharing everywhere and anytime.
